Allergy Action offers advice and training in food allergen risk assessment, management and communication to manufacturers, retailers, caterers, enforcement officers and others involved in the supply of food to the public. Key areas of activity include :

She has worked at national level with the Anaphylaxis Campaign since its earliest days in 1994 and is now its Food Adviser. Hazel supports and advises those at risk of severe food allergies, both through personal experience and professional expertise.
This work involves food suppliers as well as families, schools, food enforcement officers, local and national government, doctors, specialist nurses and dieticians.
She investigates deaths and 'near misses' from food allergy, and undertakes research into why and how allergen avoidance may fail and how those at risk may be protected.

The Allergy/Asthma Information Association is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to helping allergic individuals and their families cope with everything from the sniffles and sneezes of hayfever to life-threatening food allergies and asthma. It was founded as a voluntary organization in 1964 by concerned parents of allergic children who set out to get labelling on foods.
Patient information is provided to its 6,000 members across Canada In the form of: counseling, seminars, and publications.
A quarterly magazine keeps members informed of new research discoveries, new treatments, new products and the successes of advocacy activities. Members have access to more than 40 different 'Infoletters' dealing with various aspects of Asthma or Allergy disease, as well as:
restaurant cards, warning buttons for children, cookbooks, videos and presentation packages for parents.

A non-profit, tax exempt organization which provides information about latex allergy and supports natural rubber latex (NRL) allergic individuals. It was founded by a group of approximately 30 health care workers who are allergic to natural rubber latex, and who sought to provide information and support for one another, as well as other persons and organizations. Offers a clinically reviewed quarterly magazine and membership. A.L.E.R.T., Inc. maintains a national network directory of members. Members in close proximity may hold local meetings where education and sharing of concerns are common.
American Celiac Society

The American Celiac Society is a nonprofit corporation formed in 1972 to provide assistance to persons who are sensitive to gluten in foods. The Society publishes educational materials and resource guides for persons on gluten-free diets and researches the gluten content of foods. It will respond to specific questions from individuals on particular foods.
